Les types de changement social sont la lutte, l'évolution, la révolution, le changement conjoncturel et les dérivés. En sociologie, le changement social est défini comme l'altération de l'ordre au sein d'une structure sociale caractérisée par diverses transformations.
De telles transformations se produisent dans les symboles culturels, les modèles de comportement, les normes, l'économie, la politique et les systèmes de valeurs.
La révolution industrielle a entraîné un changement important dans la société
La plupart des sociétés cherchent à maintenir leur équilibre et leur ordre. Malgré cela, des changements dans leurs structures sont inévitables. Ces changements, d'un point de vue général, sont positifs.
Il y a des changements sociaux progressifs et façonnés par l'évolution historique. D'autre part, d'autres sont brusques et obéissent à des situations particulières.
Les plus importants à long terme de l'histoire de l'humanité ont été la révolution industrielle, l'abolition de l'esclavage et le mouvement féministe.
L'évolution des sociétés, de changements à grande échelle à de petites altérations, s'est faite à travers divers types de changements sociaux.
Les 5 principaux types de changement social
1- Combattre
C'est un changement qui résulte de l'imposition par un secteur de la société à un autre, générant un conflit qui peut être vu dans les domaines économique, politique et social.
Un exemple de lutte est la discussion sur un projet de loi proposé par une fraction politique d'un Parlement, qui est rejetée par la fraction d'opposition.
2- Évolution
Ce type de changement est courant dans les sociétés flexibles, tolérantes et ouvertes. On l'observe dans les sociétés où le pouvoir social est appliqué en tenant compte des souhaits et des sentiments de tous ses secteurs.
Il s'agit de la mise à jour progressive, qui se produit dans le temps et dont le résultat ne produit pas de perturbation dans le groupe social dans lequel elle se produit.
Les changements évolutifs se produisent sur de longues périodes, lentement et progressivement. Ses manifestations les plus représentatives sont les systèmes éducatifs et les progrès technologiques.
3- Révolution
Il s'agit d'un changement brusque, de grande qualité et très notable, qui implique la rupture de l'ordre institutionnel existant, qui est remplacé par un ordre différent.
Son apparition peut modifier considérablement l'ensemble du régime social, le comportement personnel et le mode de vie du groupe qu'il affecte.
Les changements révolutionnaires se produisent de deux manières. D'une part, ils détruisent le statu quo; et de l'autre, ils en imposent un nouveau.
Ils sont courants dans le domaine politique; par exemple, le passage d'un régime oligarchique à un régime démocratique.
D'un autre point de vue, les changements révolutionnaires peuvent être des procédures stratégiques tendant à produire des transformations du système économique.
Tel est le cas des transformations des systèmes distributifs et productifs, qui cherchent à moderniser les systèmes actuels et à en générer d'autres de plus grande équité et de bien-être social.
4- Changement conjoncturel
C'est une transformation qui encourage le redimensionnement du système productif, avec l'intention d'obtenir des avancées économiques qui n'ont pas été réalisées sous l'ancien schéma.
Les changements conjoncturels conduisent à l'émergence de nouvelles entreprises, à la création d'emplois et à l'amélioration de la rémunération salariale.
5- Dérivé
Ce type de changement est si lent qu'il est imperceptible pour les sociétés qui en font l'expérience.
Elle survient après l'accumulation de petites transformations qui, ensemble, représentent un processus important et innovant.
Un exemple de ce type de changement est le résultat obtenu dans la sphère sociale par rapport à la campagne mondiale insistante pour promouvoir l'adoption d'animaux de compagnie au lieu de leur achat.
