Les différents types de marins sont influencés par les caractéristiques de chaque région. La marinera est une danse qui dépeint la parade nuptiale entre une dame et un gentleman, et est considérée comme la danse nationale du Pérou.
La femme porte une pollera brodée (jupe) et une écharpe, se moquant de l'homme avec ses mouvements gracieux. Ceci est accompagné de guitares, cajones (instrument de percussion d'origine péruvienne) et autres instruments de musique.
Marinera du nord du Pérou
Cette danse doit son origine à la zamacueca, une danse chorégraphiée devenue populaire dans la région andine au milieu des années 1800. La version chilienne était la forme la plus populaire au Pérou entre 1860 et 1870.
Après la guerre du Pacifique, les Péruviens ne voulaient pas que leur danse nationale porte le nom de leur ennemi, et ils la rebaptisèrent la Marinera, honorant leurs marins morts à la guerre.
Principaux types de marins
Limeña
La Lima marinera peut être une compétition (contrepoint) entre chanteurs, connue sous le nom de canto jarana ou simplement jarana. Il y a aussi le cas d'une performance par un simple marin avec chant et / ou danse, sans qu'il y ait aucune compétition.
Contrairement aux marineras d'autres régions, la marinera de Lima suit des règles strictes de performance en danse et en chant.
L'accompagnement indispensable se compose de deux guitares, d'un cajon et des applaudissements. La structure poétique se compose de trois strophes, également appelées jaranas.
Chacun de ceux-ci doit respecter les structures poétiques et musicales établies.
Nord
La marinera du nord est originaire de la ville côtière de Trujillo au nord du Pérou. Il est beaucoup plus rapide que le Lima, et similaire en chorégraphie et en musique au tondero, qui est une autre danse norteño.
Alors que la femme de Lima passe du glissant (ému et syncopé) à la fugue (plus paisible), le glissant de la marinera nord se transforme en un coup de terre. Ce dernier est rapide à 6 x 8.
Quant à la danse, les flirts sont beaucoup plus prononcés. Les dames dansent pieds nus. Il est également accompagné d'un groupe de musique.
Serrana
L'une des caractéristiques distinctives du marin dans les différentes régions est les costumes. Dans le cas de la serrana, la femme porte une chemise de nuit blanche et sa robe est large et en soie.
Il porte également un châle en laine, un chapeau de paille, des chaussures de taille moyenne et l'écharpe traditionnelle. L'homme porte un pantalon en jean, une chemise blanche et un poncho en laine. Un bonnet et une écharpe complètent cette tenue.
Musicalement, ce marin de montagne typique se joue avec une touche mineure et avec un mouvement lent. Comme la côte, c'est répété. La chose la plus remarquable à propos de cette variété est sa finition huayno, qui est un autre genre musical.
Ces genres ont progressivement fusionné dans la région andine, produisant diverses combinaisons.
Le plus célèbre d'entre eux est la marinera avec fugue huayno, qui contraste avec la pièce principale jouée à un tempo plus rapide.
