Les danses typiques d'Ayacucho, département du Pérou, sont formées par un mélange de cultures indigènes d'influence espagnole.
Les Incas et les autres peuples de la cordillère des Andes qui habitaient ces terres avaient des pratiques spirituelles et artistiques liées aux forces de la nature.
Danse des ciseaux
L'arrivée des conquérants européens a imposé la religion catholique et la langue espagnole. Les nouveaux arrivants ont interdit les pratiques religieuses et artistiques autochtones.
Parmi les plus remarquables sont: La Marinera Ayacuchana, Danzas De Las Tijeras, Los Rejones, La Capitanía, Los Avisadores, La Wambarkuna, El Waqtay, Qachua De Pamay, Inti Wichy.

1- La danse des ciseaux
Les conquérants espagnols ont interdit aux rituels et danses ancestraux de continuer.
Malgré cela, les prêtres incas ont mené une rébellion spirituelle, promouvant la musique et les danses de leurs ancêtres. «La danse des ciseaux» a survécu à la tentative de faire disparaître les vieilles coutumes.
il est joué avec un groupe de quatre musiciens et danseurs masculins. Ses mouvements acrobatiques ont une ressemblance frappante avec le hip hop.
La danse est une compétition individuelle entre danseurs. C'est un test de force, d'endurance, d'agilité, d'imagination et d'art. Chaque danseur doit garder le rythme des ciseaux dans ses mains tout en exécutant des mouvements acrobatiques avec ses pieds.
Les danseurs portent dans chacune de leurs mains deux lames de métal, qui étaient autrefois en pierre.
Ces lames font semblant d'être des ciseaux, qui se déplacent au rythme de la musique créant des sons qui se connectent à ceux de la nature.
2- Llaqt Maqta De Llauta
Danse traditionnelle préhispanique qui représente les premières étapes de la chute amoureuse chez les jeunes et leur première approche.
Imitant les mouvements des animaux indigènes de la zone andine, les danseurs des deux sexes tentent d'attirer l'attention du sexe opposé. On l'appelle aussi la danse de l'initiation à l'amour.
Le calendrier festif de cette danse est associé au calendrier religieux et se déroule dans les mois de novembre et décembre, autour de Noël. Dans les temps anciens, ils étaient gouvernés par les équinoxes solaires.
3- Qocharunas
Cela signifie les gens de la source ou l'homme de la source et court dans la communauté d'Oqopeqa à plus de 4 000 mètres d'altitude.
C'est une danse qui rend hommage à l'eau en reconnaissance d'avoir donné la vie et de sortir de la pacha mama, de la terre. Ils dansent autour de l'eau et des roseaux sont plantés autour d'elle.
De plus, les nouveau-nés sont emmenés au lac pour qu'il les reconnaisse et lorsqu'ils deviennent des hommes, ils deviennent des runes qocha.
3- Llaqta maqta de chungui
Cette danse trouve son origine dans la coutume qu'ont les jeunes (llaqta maqta) de s'évader la nuit de chez eux et de se retrouver pour danser, chanter et jouer des instruments de musique comme la mandoline.
Les chansons parlaient d'amour et la danse durait jusque tard dans la nuit. Actuellement, cela se fait après la récolte de pommes de terre ou de maïs.
4- Yantakuy
Danse qui est exécutée en hommage à la Vierge d'Asunción le 15 août et à laquelle participent les habitants de la ville.
Des feuilles de coca et une boisson sont données pour allumer le feu. Les journaux ou journaux sont déplacés en les passant d'une main à l'autre. Ensuite, mari et femme se font généralement face en danse et finalement ils boivent, chantent et dansent tous.
5- Wambarkunas
Danse également exécutée en l'honneur de la Vierge d'Asunción. Les hommes portent un wambar fait de cornes de taureau dans lequel ils transportent une liqueur typique.
C'est une danse qui simule l'enlèvement de femmes par des hommes, au rythme de la musique kangourou.
