Les exemples de problèmes sociaux abondent dans la société moderne. Il s'agit de toute condition ou comportement qui a des effets négatifs sur un grand nombre de personnes et dont il est reconnu qu'il faut y remédier.
Ainsi, il existe des situations qui touchent tout le monde, mais dont la résolution n'est pas perçue comme urgente. Ce ne sont pas considérés comme des problèmes sociaux. Tel est le cas du réchauffement climatique.
En soi, un problème social a une composante objective et une composante subjective. Le premier est l'accumulation de données et de preuves des conséquences négatives d'une situation particulière.
La composante subjective est constituée des différentes considérations sur la question de savoir si un problème doit devenir un problème social.
Quelques exemples de problèmes sociaux
Agression sexuelle contre les femmes
La violence sexuelle contre les femmes est l'un des exemples de problèmes sociaux d'aujourd'hui. Les mouvements féministes ont transformé ce comportement en problème social dans les années 1970.
Avant cette période, le viol et les agressions sexuelles contre les femmes, bien qu'ils existent déjà, n'étaient pas considérés comme un problème social.
L'avortement
Bien qu'il y ait des preuves que l'avortement a existé à travers l'histoire, il y a actuellement une prise de conscience de ce problème. La manière dont il est traité par les systèmes juridiques varie selon les pays.
Dans les pays où l'avortement est légal, cette pratique s'est stabilisée. Mais, dans les autres, l'avortement a atteint des proportions épidémiques.
VIH et SIDA
L’épidémie de VIH / sida est un autre exemple de problèmes sociaux plus répandus. Il existe des programmes de prévention spécialement conçus pour cibler les groupes les plus exposés.
Ces groupes appartiennent pour la plupart aux communautés homosexuelles. L'homosexualité est illégale dans environ 73 pays. Sur ces sites, les groupes à risque n'ont pas accès aux services VIH.
Délinquance juvénile
La délinquance juvénile est un problème dans la société moderne. Elle est liée à l'inadaptation sociale des jeunes.
En raison de la gravité et de la généralité de la question, l'UNESCO a créé des programmes pour y remédier. Elle est particulièrement aiguë dans certains des pays les plus développés.
Discrimination raciale
Elle consiste en un déni arbitraire des droits civils pour des raisons raciales ou ethniques. L'emploi du mot arbitraire souligne que ces groupes sont traités de manière inégale uniquement en raison de leur race et de leur appartenance ethnique.
Ce type de discrimination se produit dans la vie quotidienne des groupes raciaux minoritaires: déni de service ou mauvais service dans les magasins ou restaurants, harcèlement policier, etc.
Solitude chez les personnes âgées
La solitude a été définie comme un sentiment négatif subjectif associé à un manque perçu d'un réseau social plus large ou à l'absence d'un partenaire spécifique souhaité. C'est un problème lié à la vie moderne dans les grandes villes.
Fanatisme
Le fanatisme est un attachement obstiné et irréfléchi à ses opinions. Elle est indifférente à la vérité et est très préjudiciable à l'unité sociale.
Elle provient de diverses causes, souvent initiées à la maison, développées à l'école et respectées par les médias et les lois gouvernementales.
Le préjugé
Le préjugé est un sentiment affectif envers une personne ou un membre d'un groupe basé uniquement sur l'appartenance à un groupe.
Le mot est souvent utilisé pour désigner des sentiments préconçus, généralement défavorables aux gens pour différentes raisons.
Chômage
Le travail est la principale source de revenus des individus et des familles du monde entier. Le chômeur est confronté à des niveaux élevés de stress physique et mental, à de grandes tensions familiales et à une grande variété de conséquences financières.
La pauvreté
La pauvreté est définie comme un faible niveau de revenu soutenu pour les membres d'une communauté. Selon les experts, les cinq principaux facteurs de pauvreté (en tant que problème social) comprennent: l'ignorance, la maladie, l'apathie, la malhonnêteté et la dépendance.
Pollution
Les déchets industriels, l’absence de politiques de protection des mers et l’abus dans l’exploitation des ressources naturelles non renouvelables, ont placé la planète Terre dans une situation environnementale extrêmement vulnérable.
Il est important d'être conscient de l'importance de prendre soin de l'environnement depuis les petites actions engagées de chaque citoyen jusqu'aux politiques de l'État.
la corruption
Lorsque les actes de corruption de la classe dirigeante se généralisent et deviennent monnaie courante, la qualité de vie des citoyens et leur accès aux droits tels que le logement, la santé et l'éducation sont menacés.
Le seul moyen de mettre un terme à ces actes de corruption est de contrôler la gestion des gouvernements à travers les mécanismes créés à cet effet et la participation citoyenne.
Faim
Environ neuf cent millions de personnes souffrent de la faim dans le monde, un problème qui se concentre sur les pays sous-développés du continent africain.
Plus de deux millions d'enfants meurent chaque année du manque de nourriture. Il est important de développer des programmes d'aide humanitaire et plus d'engagement de la part des pays développés.
Guerre
Les affrontements militaires entre certains pays constituent une atteinte aux droits civils.
La course aux armements et la science au service de la création d'armes biologiques sont également des problèmes sociaux majeurs au niveau mondial.
Harcèlement
Les progrès technologiques et la prolifération des réseaux sociaux numériques ont augmenté les cas de harcèlement d'enfants, L'intimidation physique et la cyberintimidation ont de graves conséquences sur le bien-être psychologique des enfants et des adolescents.
La toxicomanie
L'expansion du trafic de drogue est l'une des grandes préoccupations dans le monde.
L'abus de substances interdites et de stupéfiants est l'une des causes les plus récurrentes de décès chez les jeunes.
