Les légendes urbaines du Japon sont une série d'histoires qui constituent une part importante de la tradition orale du pays, même si elles ont également connu un essor - en termes de diffusion - grâce au courrier électronique et à Internet.
Selon certains chercheurs, un aspect important des légendes urbaines et autres histoires japonaises est qu'elles sont le produit d'une imagination populaire qui prend en compte les aspects fantastiques, surnaturels et de terreur, qui font certainement partie du folklore traditionnel.
Bien que ce type de légendes combine toujours réalité et fiction, le degré de véracité de la même chose est inconnu. Cependant, grâce à leur diffusion et à leur complexité, certains locaux les considèrent même comme vrais (au point de ne pas les mentionner et ainsi d'éviter l'invocation de mauvais esprits).
La malédiction de la chambre rouge
Début 2000, une série d'animations apparaissant sous forme de fenêtres pop-up aux internautes est devenue virale. Dans eux, seule une boîte rouge a été vue avec la question suivante: "Vous aimez ça?" Peu de temps après, ce message a disparu pour qu'un autre apparaisse: "Connaissez-vous la salle rouge?"
Il existe une version de la légende qui indique que ces animations étaient accompagnées de la voix d'une fille. Dans tous les cas, l'utilisateur se trouvait dans la situation de ne pas pouvoir fermer les fenêtres tant que le moniteur ne devenait pas noir. Peu de temps après, une liste de ses amis et de sa famille a été présentée.
Au final, la personne, incapable de bouger ou de parler, se rend compte qu'elle a une entité qui la surveille et qui l'amène au suicide.
Manteau Aka
L'un des endroits les plus fréquents pour la création de légendes urbaines sont les toilettes publiques, peut-être en partie à cause du niveau de vulnérabilité dans lequel se trouve la victime.
Dans ce cas, c'est l'esprit d'un jeune homme qui dans la vie avait été harcelé et persécuté par des femmes en raison de sa beauté physique impressionnante. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas de lien clair entre son apparence et les toilettes des femmes, la légende avertit les femmes d'une entité désireuse de se venger.
Il apparaîtra avec son visage caché avec un masque et présentera à sa victime deux types de papier toilette: un rouge et un bleu. Quel que soit le choix, la mort sera la seule chose sûre.
La fille du coin
On dit que cet esprit loge dans les coins ou dans les endroits sombres (comme les tiroirs ou derrière les portes), afin d'attendre la moindre occasion de se rapprocher des humains.
Si le premier contact se produit, la fille peut procéder à une invitation à jouer à cache-cache. Cependant, si elle se rencontre une deuxième fois, certains prétendent qu'elle est capable d'emmener sa victime dans une autre dimension ou même en enfer.
Poupée Okiku
Cette légende raconte l'histoire d'Okiku, une petite fille de deux ans qui a reçu une belle poupée en cadeau d'un parent.
Cependant, la jeune fille est décédée peu de temps après à cause d'une grippe compliquée, alors sa famille a décidé de protéger la poupée sur un autel pour présenter des offrandes et des prières. Peu de temps après, les membres ont remarqué que ses cheveux avaient nettement poussé, alors ils ont conclu que l'âme d'Okiku s'était logée dans la poupée.
À la fin des années 40, la famille a changé de résidence et a laissé la poupée aux soins du temple de Mannenji. On dit qu'à ce jour, les cheveux d'Okiku continuent de pousser, ils doivent donc être coupés de temps en temps.
Kuchisake-onna ou la femme au visage coupé
C'est une autre des histoires les plus populaires du pays et continue de fasciner les habitants et les amoureux de la terreur et du surnaturel. Il en existe deux versions:
-On indique qu'il y avait une belle femme qui a été mutilée par le sauvage de son mari, à cause de sa jalousie.
-L'autre fait mention d'une femme dont le visage a été coupé à la suite d'un accident de la circulation.
La légende dit que l'esprit se couvre toujours la bouche d'un masque chirurgical et qu'il apparaît également aux enfants. Pendant qu'elle le fait, elle leur demande: "Est-ce que je suis belle pour vous?" Et puis découvre son apparence effrayante. Quelle que soit la réponse, une issue fatale attend la victime.
L'enfer de Tomimo
L'histoire parle du poème «Tomimo's Hell», qui fait partie du livre de Yomota Inuhiko, «Le cœur est comme une pierre qui roule». Le verset, en termes généraux, parle de Tomimo, qui meurt et va directement en enfer.
Bien que l'origine de la légende ne soit pas exactement connue, on dit que le poème ne doit être récité que dans l'esprit parce que, s'il est fait à haute voix, une série d'événements tragiques arrivera à quiconque défie l'avertissement.
Il est à noter qu'en raison de la popularité de l'histoire, des centaines d'utilisateurs se sont consacrés à s'enregistrer pour tester le niveau de véracité de la légende.
Le tunnel de Kiyotaki
Ce tunnel a été fondé en 1927 et a une longueur de 444 mètres, un chiffre qui est d'ailleurs considéré comme maudit dans la culture orientale (en fait, c'est l'équivalent du numéro 13 pour les occidentaux).
En raison des terribles conditions de sécurité, des centaines de travailleurs sont morts pendant la construction, on estime donc que l'endroit est chargé par les énergies du défunt. On dit même que les esprits sont capables de causer des accidents et des désagréments aux personnes qui le traversent.
Le peuple Inunaki
Cet endroit est loin de toute ville ou village, il représente donc pratiquement un mystère. À tel point que même certains remettent sérieusement en question l'existence de cette ville.
Cependant, la légende indique qu'Inunaki est un endroit qui n'est pas régi par la loi japonaise, il est donc possible de trouver du cannibalisme, de l'inceste, des meurtres et toutes sortes de crimes et méfaits.
Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, les appareils électroniques - comme les téléphones portables - ne peuvent pas être utilisés sans raison apparente. Pour cette raison, il est pratiquement impossible de communiquer avec le monde extérieur et de quitter les lieux.
Hitobashira
Ce mot peut être traduit par «piliers humains» et date de l'époque des empereurs. À cette époque, on croyait que pour satisfaire les dieux et avoir ainsi leur bénédiction, il était nécessaire d'offrir la vie d'une personne en sacrifice pendant la construction.
De cette manière, en outre, la structure serait suffisamment solide pour résister au passage du temps. Par conséquent, quelqu'un a été choisi puis enterré vivant près des piliers du bâtiment. Si les dieux étaient satisfaits, la structure durerait pour toujours.
Cette pratique, apparemment, a également entraîné les cris et les plaintes des morts pris au piège dans les murs de ces lieux.
Gozu, la tête de vache
Bien que ce soit l'une des histoires les plus effrayantes du Japon, elle est incroyablement populaire. Il a même été une source d'inspiration pour les productions cinématographiques et même les jeux vidéo.
L'histoire part d'une sortie scolaire où un enseignant, voyant que ses élèves ne semblaient pas avoir beaucoup d'enthousiasme, décide de raconter l'histoire de Gozu.
Alors que l'enseignant devenait de plus en plus enthousiaste pour les détails sordides et macabres au fur et à mesure que l'histoire progressait, les élèves ont commencé à désespérer et à le supplier d'arrêter. Quand cela ne s'est pas produit, le bus dans lequel ils se trouvaient s'est écrasé.
On raconte que peu de temps après, le professeur et les garçons sont entrés dans une transe profonde, incapables de réagir. Il convient de mentionner que l'une des versions de l'histoire prétend qu'ils sont morts quelques jours plus tard.
Le jeu de cache-cache
Selon certains locaux, c'est un jeu interdit au Japon car il implique une série de situations terrifiantes pour ceux qui y jouent. La raison? Il s'agit d'appeler les esprits de l'au-delà.
De manière générale, le jeu exige que la personne soit seule, dans un endroit vide et la nuit. En plus de cela, ayez un animal en peluche ou une poupée, des ciseaux, du fil rouge, un couteau, des ciseaux et du riz, tout cela pour invoquer un esprit.
La légende raconte que si la personne se cache correctement ou affronte avec succès la poupée, elle pourra s'échapper indemne. Sinon, vous devriez en supporter les conséquences.
Noppera-bo
Au Japon, les esprits qui n'ont pas de visage sont appelés ainsi, il est donc seulement possible de trouver une peau lisse à la place.
Il y a une histoire très populaire dans ce cas: l'esprit s'approche d'une personne pour lui poser une question aimable. Si vous établissez une conversation, rien ne se passera. Mais si cela est ignoré, vous êtes sûr de souffrir d'une peur sans précédent.
